No! Jacks are special action cards. Two-eyed Jacks (♣J and ♦J) are wild cards that place a chip on any empty space. One-eyed Jacks (♠J and ♥J) remove one opponent chip (unless that chip is locked inside a completed sequence).
The 4 corner spaces on the 10x10 board are wild. They count as a completed chip for every team at all times. No chips need to be played on corners.
If both board spaces matching a card in your hand are already occupied by chips, that card is dead. Once per turn, you can discard it and draw a fresh replacement before playing.
